U.S. seeing growing shift in landscaping toward electric-powered equipment

The switch from gasoline-powered landscaping equipment to electric versions is proceeding along at a consistent pace in the United States. An executive with the New York Botanical Garden, who also teaches landscaping students, says today’s electric trimmers and mowers are just as good, if not better, than their gas-powered counterparts. Electric blowers, however, haven’t yet caught up to gas-powered versions because of their weight, but technology is evolving quickly.
